New servers are ONLINE

Hi all opensubtitles.org fans. We are proud to inform you that we have upgraded all 4 servers to a new hardware, which means site should work better and faster. If you encounter any problems, just let us know. Also we are really sorry, that the site was offline for some time, but we had really strange problems with upgrading…it is a long long story.

Important is – we are back and even stronger. The site should now handle 4000 users online without any problems, I guess. If you ask what does the new hardware looks like, here it is:

  • AMD Athlon 64 X2, 6000+ Dual Core
  • 8 GB DDR2 RAM
  • 2 x 750 GB SATA II (HW RAID1)

Now, we can continue developing TV series support, I hope this will be a christmas gift 🙂

  1. we are doing our best, strange things happens, maybe I will write some notes about that. I wish no one should feel, what I’m feeling right now…really.

Just stay tuned, when all this pass, it will be really OK, I hope.

  2. I must say that you’ve done a great job, haven’t had any problems at all since yesterday. The loading time has been reduced to zero, thanks guys 🙂

  3. I still can not seem to connect, throughout various parts of the day. IS this due to some glitch or server traffic? I’m using OSCAR 10.1.

Does anyone know of any alternate subtitle sites that are known to work with OSCAR 10.1? THANKS!
